Hi there human, I’m Nicole (also known as Mama Burn)

Leadership Coach

official bio

Nicole Brennan is a leadership coach and medicine woman who helps change-makers, cycle-breakers, and visionaries break free from self-doubt and self-sabotage so that they can step into a greater purpose with more impact.

Her work is the bridge between mind and heart, east and west, science and spirit. She specializes in leading clients through experiential transformation that is felt and deeply embodied – rather than talked about, thought about, or scrolled about. She teaches courses and guides workshops and experiential journeys all over the world. She was born in Argentina, currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, John Downs, and spends every summer dancing and DJing in the desert at Burning Man, her favorite place on earth.

My Story

Reflect on a timeline of my journey from early hardship to discovering true freedom and inner transformation.

Ages 7-16

Childhood: Navigating Trauma and Loss

I couldn’t wait to grow up as a kid because childhood was hard. At 7 years old, my father died, just two weeks after my younger sister was born. Left to raise myself while my mother navigated loss and mental illness, I felt trapped and alone. We didn’t have much money, moved houses often, and I was often the new kid at school – a role I hated so much I would often eat lunch alone in bathroom stalls.

I found refuge in fiction novels. I spent countless nights escaping into fantastical stories like Harry Potter. Those pages gave me hope for a world where magic, adventure, and belonging were possible.

Ages 13-17

Adolescence: The Drive for Success and Perfection

If I wasn’t lost in fantasy novels, I was pouring over textbooks. I stayed up late memorizing textbooks word-for-word, driven by a relentless need to be the best. If I wasn’t the best, then I was a failure.

At 17, I moved to New York City and earned a degree in finance and economics from NYU. By 21, I was the Vice President and right hand to a CEO on Wall Street, earning six figures. On paper, I was living the dream, but internally my unresolved wounds and the pressure of perfectionism began to take a toll.

Ages 17-21

Early Adulthood: The Awakening

I always wanted to grow up because I thought adulthood meant freedom. I believed success would bring the fulfillment I craved. But despite all my achievements, I felt empty.

That’s when I learned: Freedom isn’t a destination. It isn’t something you earn. Freedom is a state of being—created and cultivated from within. No amount of money, achievements, clothing, lovers, compliments, likes, followers, drinks, drugs, or distractions can fill a void that only self-love and care can heal.

Ages 21-Present

Saying YES to the Call

The corporate world wasn’t for me—I wasn’t here to climb a ladder, I was meant to use my voice, my story, and my heart to help others. Leaving behind the security of a six-figure job was terrifying, but I had a song to sing—and I refused to let it die inside me.

I started taking risks and following my heart, especially when it didn’t make “sense” on paper. I learned to ask for help. I worked with master plant teachers. I built three successful businesses. I now lead retreats and events all over the world. I have guided hundreds of leaders through transformational coaching and psychedelic experiences. I witness miracles everyday.

Today

Why It Matters

I know you’ve got your own story filled with plot twists, heartbreaks, and challenges. That’s the human experience—joy and pain, triumph and tragedy.

But I also know this: Your spirit craves freedom and purpose. You’re here to leave behind a legacy of joy, awe, and a life fully lived. You are meant to leave this world better than you found it. To be bold, to dare greatly, and to have yourself an epic adventure.

Your story is waiting to be written, your song to be sung. You don’t want to look back and wonder, ‘What if?’ That’s why I’ve spent the last decade helping visionaries like you close the gap between where you are and where you’re meant to be.

Today, I feel freer every day—and now, it’s your turn.

Right Now

Let’s make it happen—together.

Are you ready to say yes to the call and step into your greatest potential?

Yes

Freedom is a state of being that is cultivated, created, and embodied from within.
